The Moose Step. Norway

The Moose Step Cabin extension in Norway

This project involved the extension of a traditional Norwegian cabin, adding a new volume perpendicular to the existing structure.

The extension is organised across two levels. The lower level is built in exposed concrete, forming a solid base anchored to the landscape. The upper level, which connects directly with the existing cabin, is clad in timber, referencing the material language of traditional Scandinavian construction. Both levels open towards the sea through large glazed facades, framing views of the bay and bringing the landscape into the interior.

The interior maintains the warmth and simplicity characteristic of Scandinavian design, with natural materials and considered detailing throughout.
