Donas Civic centre competition in Donas, Galicia. First Prize.

Winning proposal for a new civic centre in Donas, designed for community use and enjoyment.

The central idea of the project is flexibility, both within the interior spaces and in the relationship between the building and its surroundings. The spaces are conceived so that an inside-outside connection is always possible, allowing activities to expand outward or draw inward depending on the needs of each moment.

The programme is distributed across two metal-clad volumes housing an assembly hall, café, classrooms, study areas and changing rooms. Both volumes are raised on a plinth that doubles as an outdoor stepped seating area, providing a natural gathering space for events and activities taking place on the exterior plot.
